By accessing and using Heritage Restoration's services, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
2. Service Description
Heritage Restoration provides professional antique restoration services including assessment, repair, refinishing, and conservation of furniture, art, decorative objects, and other antique items. All services are subject to our professional judgment and industry standards.
3. Client Responsibilities
Clients must provide accurate information about items submitted for restoration, including known history, previous repairs, and any damage. Clients are responsible for ensuring they have legal ownership and rights to authorize restoration work on submitted items.
4. Estimates and Pricing
Initial estimates are approximate and may change based on discoveries during the restoration process. We will contact clients before proceeding with work that exceeds estimates by more than 20%. Prices listed on our website are starting prices and final costs depend on project specifics.
5. Payment Terms
A deposit of 50% is required before work begins. Final payment is due upon completion before item release. We accept major credit cards, checks, and bank transfers. Unclaimed items after 90 days may be subject to storage fees.
6. Warranties
We warrant our workmanship for the period specified in your service package. This warranty does not cover damage from misuse, accidents, or natural aging. Original manufacturer warranties do not apply to restored items.
7. Liability Limitations
While we maintain comprehensive insurance and exercise utmost care, our liability is limited to the appraised value of the item or the restoration cost, whichever is less. We are not liable for undisclosed pre-existing conditions or inherent vice.
8. Intellectual Property
All photographs, documentation, and reports created during the restoration process remain our property unless otherwise agreed. We reserve the right to use project images for marketing purposes unless client requests confidentiality.
9. Cancellation Policy
Clients may cancel projects before work begins with full deposit refund. Cancellations after work has commenced will be charged for completed work plus a 25% cancellation fee. Completed work cannot be refunded.
10. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from our services shall be resolved through mediation in Boston, Massachusetts. If mediation fails, disputes will be subject to binding arbitration under Massachusetts law.
